Router Tips and Important information
Here are a couple tips to ensure you have the best experience playing Rift Rally!
Let's go old school! Try restarting and rebooting the router before attempting the following suggestions.
Playing in the same room as your router will ensure there are no obstacles in the way of the signal. If your router is in a separate room then a signal traveling through a wall can impact the performance of Rift Rally. If you are unable to play in the same room then we'd recommend playing using direct connect. This will take into account the distance between your device and the Chameleon car.
If using a Wi-Fi connection; using other bandwidth intensive actions(streaming, downloading, etc) will impact performance.
We also ask that you check to make sure there are no firmware updates needed. If there is then proceed to complete the update.
All router troubleshooting will require access to the administrator section of the router. So who ever set up the router network and has the login and password will be required(If this is a supplied internet through a building or company then Direct Connection might be best).
To login on the router follow the steps below:
- Pull up your desired web browser.
- Enter your router's login URL or default IP address.
- Log in using credentials
Some routers have a QoS(Quality of Service) mode that can be checked on in the advance settings tab(Location can vary depending on router model). This can regulate the router to perform for gaming specifically.
